The register addresses the following information:
- First and last name
- contact information (postal address, telephone number, e-mail address)
- customer number
- Company customers business ID
- Order history
- direct marketing permits and prohibitions
- information on the use of electronic services and content (eg ordering newsletters)
- other customer contact information regarding eg delivery information, feedback, complaints, returns and customer service issues relating to orders made by telephone or e-mail
- other loyalty or membership information


The primary purpose of handling personal data is to deliver, process and archive customer orders. Access to the customer register and the personal data of the customers are processed only by Jyväskylän Kangaskauppa staff in so far as their work requires them. Data that is processed electronically is encrypted by passwords and firewalls on the e-commerce server. Manually maintained content is located in business premises that are locked outside of opening hours. Paper containing the customer's information (eg old accounting material) is properly disposed of.

Ordering does not require registration or joining the mailing list. In this case, only the information on that order will remain in the register, which we only keep for the time required to process the order. In addition, certain information must be maintained due to the statutory obligations. These include: accounting law that defines the information for longer retention periods, regardless of whether the material contains personal data or not.

Information that is stored separately at the customer's request is provided either at the time of ordering or by registering at the online store https://www.jyvaskylankangaskauppa.fi/rekisterointi. In connection with the registration, we specifically ask for permission for sending our company marketing material or electronic newsletter. Customers can use their user account to eg. limit use of their information and change contact information. The information in the register will not be disclosed to third parties for marketing purposes.

Disclosure of information to third parties:
The information in the register will not be disclosed to other parties, for marketing purposes or for monitoring purchasing behavior.
We will provide some necessary information to third parties to ensure delivery (mail carriers). Payment information is also passed on to the credit granting authority, but they are not recorded in the Jyväskylän Kangaskauppa customer register. Each credit payment provider has their own privacy statement that we recommend that our customers get acquainted with.
Additionally, the customer's order information may be transmitted when ordering products, for example, for a subcontractor. If you do not want to disclose the order information on to the seamstress etc, you should notify us when ordering. In this case, the delivery time of the order product is extended by about a week.

Customers are entitled to:
- access personal data stored on their own account and obtain a copy of it if desired
- check the personal data stored in the register and request the correction of any inaccurate information or incomplete information
- under certain conditions, request processing limitation or object to processing of personal data, ie we can, for example, disable the account, which will then only be used for such customer account information obligations imposed by the Accounting Act
- delete your client account and end customership

The customer can make a request of their personal information by contacting our customer service by e-mail. The request must be sufficiently identified so that our customer service can verify the identity of the customer.

Due to changes in service development and legislation, we reserve the right to change the Privacy Statement. Significant changes to the privacy statement will be reported to registered customers when the terms are updated. We will not disclose any minor changes, but the date of change will be reported under the heading of the Privacy Statement at the top of this page. Our customer service can be contacted with both the privacy statement and marketing issues.
